Benefits
OptimizAIR™ to maximize range and robustness
Celeno OptimizAIR™ technology is complementary to any standard 802.11 implementation
and achieves highest range, throughput and robustness on top of 802.11a/b/g or 802.11n
technologies. While standard off the shelf 802.11n dramatically increases burst
rate throughput vis-a-vis 802.11a/b/g by improving modem technologies, Celeno OptimizAIR™
also improves range and robustness by implementing Beam Forming MIMO and Channel
Aware Scheduling and Transmission Shaping.
Interference Resiliency
·
Low interference 5GHz band support – the 2.4GHz spectrum has only three non-overlapping
channels and is considered to be a very congested frequency band due to the variety
of home appliances operating in this frequency spectrum. The Celeno CL1300 solution
leverages the full 5GHz spectrum of more than 20 available channels.
·
Superior Spectral efficiency – OptimizAIR™ achieves the high throughput and range
working points in a single 20 MHz channel band, achieving twice the noise resiliency
compared to other 802.11n draft MIMO solutions that require 40 MHz bandwidth to
achieve their top performance.
·
Channel hopping – OptimizAIR™ technology detects interference patterns and switches
away to clean channels to reject interferences.
·
Neighbor friendly – The OptimizAIR™ Beam Forming MIMO technology optimizes co-existence
and eliminates undesired interferences. By focusing the transmitted power only to
the client locations, a CL1300 based Access Point minimizes received power at neighboring
systems and stations (i.e., in neighboring apartments) while simultaneously maximizing
received power at the desired station location.
OptimizAIR™ is client-agnostic and cost effective
-
Celeno’s Wi-Fi OptimizAIR™ technology shifts
the computational burden of the MIMO signal processing from the client to the access
point, hence achieving the following architectural benefits:
·
Flexibility - The OptimizAIR™ technology does not dictate 802.11n protocol “collaboration”
from the client and works with any third party standard Wi-Fi client chip set.
·
Backward compatibility - The CL1300 SoC supports 802.11a or 802.11n clients and
has identical overall performance.
·
Cost effective - The CL1300 SoC is agnostic to the number of radio chains or antenna
design in the clients. It is also agnostic to the technology, supporting either
802.11a or 802.11n. On target performance is guaranteed with either single or multiple
radio and antenna client architectures. Therefore, OptimizAIR™ enables a system architecture based on cost-effective clients and helps to achieve aggressive cost reductions in system link cost.
