Wireless Video Extender Reference Design
CL1300VXT is a complete reference design for a standalone Wireless Video Extender Access Point. The access point, which is a Wireless Ethernet bridge, can be attached to any video source with an Ethernet interface (e.g., Media Center PC, Residential Gateway or DVR) to create a point-to-multipoint multimedia extension from the Video source to multiple client adapters.
The reference design includes baseband, RF and Printed Antenna design.
The benefits of an external wireless video extender adapter are:
- Easily integrates into existing home networks and interfaces with all IP-based devices
- Deployed only where needed – avoids loading the cost on all RG and STBs
- Scalability – addition of client devices as needed (up to 16)
- User self-installation deployment model and very high deployment flexibility
- Avoid truck rolls and yield significant operating expense savings
- Expedites deployment schedules and network scale up
Integrated Design
The CL1300 can be easily integrated into various devices such as STB/DVR, Residential Gateway, etc. for a cost effective design. With an MII interface, software driver installation is not required on the host processor, resulting in a fast and simple integration.
Mini Card Reference Design
CL1300MC is a complete mini card reference design targeted to be flexibility integrated as an add-on card into various devices such as Residential Gateways and DVRs.
